This 1926 ad advocates douching with Lysol. Yessirree ma’am, if you’re suffering from the vapours, hysteria and spleen that come with the stress of modern motherhoodery, there’s no more refreshing tonic than a soothing Lysol douche. Gotta keep the wifely poonani scientifically sterile and kissably puckered up for when the mister gets home on the evening train.
