I recently had the opportunity to sing the vocal track on someone else’s song. I’m so used to singing my own material and having complete free reign on it that I found it a challenge, though an enjoyable one. I wanted to honor his vision of the song, but at the same time give it what I felt was a meaningful personal interpretation. I’ll let you be the judge of how well I succeeded. The song is by UK electronic composer/artist is Christopher J Wray and the song is Bird of Sorrow. He approved of my interpretation well enough to release the song. I welcome opportunities to work as a vocalist with other composers. Contact me.

Bird of Sorrow by Christopher J Wray
The thoughts that we all have
The rushing of the sea
You are now alone
The reflection of the rippling water
Seems like memories should be better
I’m a bird flying out to sea
The past is history
This is my new world
The future is all that’s left of me
It’s all I want to see
Oh no, no more sorrow
Sad thoughts tumble like leaves
It’s the loneliness that grieves
I am watching you
